Ages 6 to 13
Kids Muay Thai in Kitchener-Waterloo
BANG Muay Thai for kids, one on one with Coach Omar Samid or alongside a sibling, a friend, or you. No group classes and no timetable, just sessions booked around school.
How Kids Train Here
One on One or With a Partner
Kids train exactly the way adults do at Shark Tank, at the same rates. Every session is 50 minutes with Coach Omar, booked any day of the week.
2-Week Intro Pass
The way in for new students. Private or semi-private, your choice, and it costs less than one private session at the regular rate. Two weeks is enough to see whether your child takes to it.
4 sessions over 2 weeks
Private
Your child and Coach Omar, nobody else. Every drill is set to their age, size, and level, and there is no class to keep up with or get lost at the back of.
50 minutes, one on one
Semi-Private
Your child and one training partner: a sibling, a friend, or you. Partner drills are more fun with someone they already know, and both of them get corrected every round.
Two people, $100 the pair
No kids group classes, no membership, and no contract. You pay per session, the same as every adult who trains here.

Why Parents Sign Up
Benefits Beyond the Gym
Muay Thai builds habits that serve kids well everywhere else.
Discipline
Every session has a structure. Kids learn to listen, focus on one thing at a time, and finish what they start.
Confidence
Landing a clean combination they could not throw last week builds a kind of self-belief that follows them into school.
Fitness
Pad work and footwork drills build strength, endurance, and flexibility without it ever feeling like a workout.
Coordination
Striking combinations and footwork sharpen motor skills and body awareness while they are still developing.
Respect
Coach Omar runs a respectful gym. Kids learn to respect their coach, the gym, and the work itself.
Self-Defense
Practical skills, and just as important, the awareness and calm to stay out of trouble in the first place.
For Parents
What ages do you train?
Kids 6 to 13. If your child is outside that range, call or message Coach Omar and ask.
How much does it cost?
The same as adults. A private session is $80. Semi-private is $50 per person, $100 for the pair, when your child trains with a sibling, a friend, or you. New students can start with the 2-Week Intro Pass, $75 for 4 sessions. There is no membership and no contract.
Do you run kids group classes?
No. Kids train private or semi-private, the same as everyone else at Shark Tank. It is your child one on one with Coach Omar, or your child and one training partner.
Can I train with my child?
Yes. A parent and child can book a semi-private session together, $50 each or $100 for the pair. Coach Omar works with you both through the full 50 minutes, and no experience is needed on either side.
Is it safe?
Safety comes first. Kids do not spar. Sessions are built on controlled drills and pad work, and with only one or two people on the mats, Coach Omar is watching every rep. He has 15+ years of martial arts experience and keeps the gym respectful and encouraging.
When are sessions?
Any day of the week, by appointment. There is no timetable, so you and Coach Omar pick times that fit around school and your child's other activities. Every session is 50 minutes.
What happens at the first session?
Your child needs comfortable athletic clothing and a water bottle. We provide gloves and shin guards for the first session. They start with a warm-up, learn the basics on the pads, run a few simple drills, and finish with a cool-down. Parents are welcome to watch from the gym.
What if my child has no experience?
That is who this is for. No martial arts background is needed. Coach Omar starts at your child's level and moves at their pace.
